Derby Owners Club is a one to eight player horse racing game which placing players in the roles of breeder, trainer, jockey, and owner of a thoroughbred racehorse! It is one of the most awesome and sophisticated video simulations ever produced in the entire world!

Eight player satellites are situated in a stadium-like configuration in front of two side-by-side 50" monitors that display the main action in a large 16 X 9 "letterbox" format. Suggested room needed for 8-player version is 19' wide x 19' deep.

Derby Owners Club Horseshoe Version is a four player setup with a 60" LCD screen. The "Horse Shoe" shape is designed for the operator who does not have the space or budget for the larger version. While the game play remains the same the smaller cabinet will open up a whole new market for the game.

This game has been perhaps the most prolific use of the Sega Data Memory Cards, a precursor to the new smart cards being used by the manufacturer, to store players horse data with many players building up stables of hundreds of horses.
